In the vibrant 1970s, the seeds of the Edaivilagam Church were sown on the tranquil land once belonging to the late Mr. Siriapillai. This humble beginning soon blossomed into a beacon of faith, as a church was constructed on a picturesque 10-cent plot nestled alongside the road. On the memorable day of December 23, 1977, the congregation gathered for the inaugural services, marking the birth of a community dedicated to worship.
Years later, the vision of a permanent church took form, thanks to the loving efforts of Dr. M. Morris, who dedicated this sacred space to the cherished memory of his father-in-law, Mr. E.R. Solomon. On January 18, 1987, amidst heartfelt prayers and joyful celebrations, the church was consecrated with the unwavering support of its devoted congregation, becoming a true sanctuary for worship.
Renamed the E.R. Solomon Memorial CSI Church, Edaivilagam, this hallowed ground was entrusted to the CSI Kanyakumari Diocese in 1988. Since that pivotal day, the church has stood as a steadfast pillar of faith, tirelessly serving the community and spreading the message of Christ with passion and dedication.

1970 காலகட்டத்தில் இடைவிளாகம் திருச்சபை காலம்சென்ற திரு. சிறியபிள்ளை என்பவரின் நிலத்தில் தற்காலிகமாக ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டு, பின்னர் சாலை ஓரத்தில் வாங்கப்பட்ட 10 சென்ட் நிலத்தில் ஒரு ஆலயமாக அமைக்கப்பட்டு 23.12.1977 அன்று ஆராதனைகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. இங்கு நிரந்தர ஆலயத்தினை Dr.M.மோரிஸ் அவர்கள் தன் மாமனார் திரு.E.R.சாலொமோன் நினைவாக கட்டி, சபை மக்கள் உதவியுடன் 18.01.1987 அன்று ஆலயத்தினை பிரதிஷ்டையும் செய்தனர். அன்று முதல் இத்திருச்சபை E.R.சாலொமோன் நினைவு CSI திருச்சபை, இடைவிளாகம் என அழைக்கப்படுகின்றது. இத்திருச்சபை 1988 CSI பேராயத்திடம் ஒப்படைக்க பட்டது. அன்று முதல் இன்று வரை திருச்சபை கிறிஸ்துவுக்காக அயராது திருப்பணிவிடைகளை செய்து வருகின்றது
